Marmelada od Jagoda & Bazge / Strawberry & Elderberry Marmalade


Napravila jednu teglicu. I nestala u tren! Zatim napravila jos koju i sacuvala ih za moju najdrazu trudnicu, moju seku. I sada planiram napraviti jos par a moj dragi B samo se hvata za glavu. I sama pomisao da ja to ipak mislim nositi sa sobom doma stvara mu nervozu! Mislim doma, iz Sofije za Split! tocnije, voziti 1192 km.
'Ali gdje ces pobogu vuci staklenke na put?!
Ali one moraju ici s nama. Kako cu TO ostaviti? Drzati cu ih u krilu! 
Pa napravi ju ponovo u Splitu.
Pa ne mogu,do tad ce bazga vec proci. Moram ponijeti marmeladu... '
.. i tako je otprilike zavrsila ova prica o savrsenoj marmeladici od jagoda i bazge. 




Zvuci li vam i izgleda li dovoljno primamljivo da ova nasa debatica dobije neki smisao? Ako ne, onda zasigurno ne mozete niti zamisliti tu savrsenu kombinaciju okusa.



Radila sam ju najjednostavnije moguce. Zeljela sam sacuvati sto vise pravog okusa bazge i jagode. Bez zelina, bez puno secera,bez griznje savjesti kada ju dijeca i zlicom jedu. Samo ukuhana. Jednostavno je savrsena. Neobicna. Posebna. 




Uz chabatu i sa mascarpone sirom ide odlicno. A kada ju namazete na kolacice od kokosa, moje drage slatke Moon Cookies koji mi toliko znace, onda se sva svijetla gase. Prica staje i ostaje samo uzivancija. Cisti kokosno rozi hedonizam :)


Marmelada od Jagoda & Bazge

  • 1 kg jagoda
  • 5 cvijetova bazge
  • 4 zlice secera
  • 2 kriske limuna i
  • sok od ostatka limuna
Jagode operite i nasjeckajte. Cvijetove bazge skarama sitno narezite,bez stapki. Dodajte secer i limun te kuhajte do zeljene gustoce,oko cca 1,5 h na laganoj vatri. S vremena na vrijeme promijesajte da ne zagori.
Staklenke operite i okrenute naopako,osusite u pecnici na laganoj temperaturi. Napunite marmeladom, zatvorite i okrenite staklenku naopako. Pokrijte krpom i ostavite da se ohladi.

Strawberry & Elderberry Marmalade



I made one jar and it was GONE in a second. Then I made couple of more and saved most for my dearest prego, my sister. And now I plan to make some more and my B is already having a headache. Even just a thought that I plan to take these home with me makes him nervous. I mean home,from Sofia to Split. To be more exact, to drive 1192km.

'But for christ's sake how do you think to take the jars??
But I have to take them. How can i leave THAT?? I'll keep them in my lap.
Can't you just make another at home?
Well,I can't. The elderberries will be gone by then.' ..and this is how the story about my dear strawberry and elderberry marmalade ended :)


Does this look tempting and delicious enough? well if it does then you understand why I insisted to take my marmalade home with me. You just can't imagine the taste of this perfect combination. 
I made it very simple. It is a true meaning of a homemade Bio marmalade. Without any additives, just this beautiful fruit and a little bit of sugar. I don't feel bad when I see my children eating it with spoon. I know it is good. It is perfect. It's unusual and special.
It goes perfect with home made bread. And when you serve it with my delicious coco Moon Cookies it is then when all the lights go off. Everything stops and there is only you enjoying your dessert. Pure sweet coconut hedonism :) 


Strawberry & Elderberry Marmalade

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 5 umbels of the elderberry 
  • 4 spoons sugar
  • 2 slices of lemon
  • juice of the rest of the lemon
Directions:
Wash and dry umbels of the elderberry. Wash the strawberries and cut them in small pieces. 
Place everything in a cooking pan, add the sugar and lemon and cook for around 1h 30 min on a medium fire. Stir occasionally.
Clean the glass jars,dry them and fill with the hot marmalade. Close the jars, turn them upside down and cover with a cloth. Leave to cool.

  1. Slatko me je nasmijala pričica, i mislim da bih i ja čuvala marmeladu u krilu, a dragi bi sigurno kolutao očima...:) Boja marmelade je neodoljiva, mogu samo zamisliti miris i okus...

  2. prekrasna ti je marmelada!! prošle godine sam kuhala oko 600 kg jagoda za prodaju i sad ubirem plodove svoga rada... :) inače meni je favorit i ove godine moja od jagoda i acetta balsamica! blog ti je divan..

    1. pokusavam,ali ne mogu zamisliti tu kolicinu mojih omiljenih jagoda!! automatski su mi pale puste ideje za slikanje :) Ubacila bih svojih obadvoje pacica u more jagoda :))
      Ne znam koliko mi je bila pametna ideja ovo sada procitati.. jagode i acceto?! ako jos i to napravim tek onda ce moj dragi poludjeti :)) zvuci f.a.m.o.z.n.o.

    1. prve marmelade koje sam radila bile su sa zelinom.S vremenom sam pocela ove sa ukuhavanjem i sada ih samo tako pravim..
